Introducing Adrian Porter MLA
Adrian Porter is a a second year graduate student in the Master of Landscape Architecture & Urbanism + 3 (years) at the University of Southern California’s School of Architecture. He completed his combined undergraduate degree in Sociology and Environmental Studies from the St. Lawrence University, graduating with honors cum laude and receiving the Outstanding Sociology-Environmental Studies Combined Senior Major Award his final year. Adrian is focused on graduating in 2024, where he aims to find employment at an Urban Design/Landscape Architecture firm. Currently, Adrian is placing a large emphasis and commitment to working with 2D and 3D digital workflows, through drawing and drafting software such as Adobe Photoshop and AutoCAD, as well as 3D modeling software like Rhino, Grasshopper and Twin motion. His interest in geographic information systems is due to his interest in working in large scale urban environments, where spatial data analytics are critical to any informative design process. Adrian’s life experience so far, living on four different continents has instilled in him a strong curiosity and global outlook. Cultural adaptability, and respect for principals of diversity and inclusion have allowed him to make the most of these varied experiences.
